Hummus

An easy make ahead appetizer to bring to parties

Total time: 5 minutes

INGREDIENTS

1 can garbanzo beans, drained (keep liquid reserved)

½ cup tahini

¼ cup olive oil

2 garlic cloves, finely chopped

2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice

1 teaspoon Diamond Crystal® Kosher Salt

1/8 teaspoon pepper to taste

*Optional: fresh parsley, pita bread wedges and crackers if desired

DIRECTIONS

1) In blender or food processor, place beans, reserved bean liquid, tahini, oil garlic, lemon juice, salt and pepper. Cover and blend on high speed until smooth. Ensure all ingredients on the sides of the blender are mixed in with a spoon.

2) Spoon mixture into a serving dish and garnish with parsley. Goes great with pita bread or crackers, and veggies. Serve immediately or prepare ahead of time to bring as an appetizer to share.
