Roasted Brussel Sprouts

 A healthy and low calorie veggie addition to dinner

Servings: Serves 12

INGREDIENTS

1 ½ lbs. of Brussel sprouts, ends trimmed off and yellow outer leaves removed

3 tablespoons olive oil

1 teaspoon Diamond Crystal® Kosher Salt

½ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

DIRECTIONS
  1. Preheat oven to 400°
  2. Place Brussel sprouts, olive oil, Kosher Salt and pepper in a large zip-lock bag. Seal tightly and shake to evenly distribute mix.
  3. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and pour Brussel sprouts onto sheet. Place on center oven rack.
  4. Roast sprouts for 30-45 minutes, shaking the pan or adjusting the sprouts every 7 minutes to evenly brown. Brussel sprouts will look dark brown or even black in some spots when done. Serve immediately and top with additional Kosher salt for seasoning.
